1. Seller

The book is sold by Monine AS (trading as Ovanap), organization number 926 029 215, Norway. Email: hello@ovanap.no.

2. What you are buying

The e-book “Linux from Zero: From your first command to your own server and AI assistant” (the book), as a PDF file. Every copy is prepared for its buyer: the buyer’s full name, email address and order number are printed in it.

The book is digital content supplied other than on a tangible medium.

3. Price and payment

The price is shown on the site in euros and is final: it is the amount you pay, and delivery is free. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. We issue an invoice on request — hello@ovanap.no.

4. How the contract is made

You fill in the order form, tick the consent to immediate delivery of digital content (see section 6) and pay. The contract is concluded when Stripe confirms your payment.

5. Delivery

Once you have paid, we prepare your personal copy and email a download link to the address on your order — usually within a few minutes.

The link is valid for 30 days from when it is sent and allows up to 5 downloads.
Please save the file to your own device.
If the email doesn’t arrive or the link has expired, you can request a new one on the “Resend my download link” page or by emailing us. A new link is only ever sent to the email address on the order.

6. Right to cancel

Consumers normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. That right does not apply to digital content supplied other than on a tangible medium once delivery has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and their acknowledgement that they thereby lose the right to cancel (Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU).

Before paying, you must therefore tick: “I agree that the digital content is delivered immediately, and I understand that I thereby lose my right to cancel the contract within 14 days.” The wording and time of your consent are stored with your order, and the email with your download link confirms it.

7. Technical problems and refunds

If the file won’t open, is damaged, isn’t as described, or the download link doesn’t work, email hello@ovanap.no. We’ll fix it as quickly as we can — usually by sending a new link or file. If we can’t fix it within a reasonable time, we refund the full amount using the same payment method, within 14 days of agreeing the refund.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory law, including your rights if digital content is not in conformity with the contract.

8. License: what you may do with the book

You receive a personal, non-exclusive license to use the book: to read it on all of your own devices and to print it for your own use. You may not share, upload, pass on, resell or otherwise publish the book. Copyright belongs to the Ovanap Team.

9. Liability

The steps in the book were tested on the software versions it names, and risky steps come with warnings and a way back. The seller is not liable for loss caused by departing from the book’s instructions, except where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

10. Complaints and governing law

Please send any complaint to hello@ovanap.no — we reply within 14 days. These terms are governed by Norwegian law, which does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live. If a dispute with a seller in another European country cannot be resolved between us, you can ask the European Consumer Centre in your country for help.
